With over 15 years of education experience, Kate Bradstreet is Deputy Director of Read Charlotte. Kate joined Read Charlotte as Early Literacy Manager in 2019. Prior to Read Charlotte she was Program Manager of Pre-k through 3rd Grade Alignment at the School District of Philadelphia in the Office of Early Childhood Education. Earlier in her career, she worked in Washington, D.C. for the National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) in the Accreditation department, focusing on the reliability of the Accreditation system and visiting childcare centers across the country. Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Grove City College, and a master’s degree in Special Education from The Ohio State University. Her favorite childhood book is Anne of Green Gables but she continues to enjoy so many more as she and her husband try to make reading together part of their regular routine with their two daughters.
