Tammy Yates teaches Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) at Mallard Creek Elementary School. She has the “all in” mentality as she is constantly teaching students reading skills day in and day out. She works with some of the most difficult students with a smile on her face and a book in her hand. She is patient, gentle, and kind. What other teachers love most is that students beg to go to her each day because of her sweet spirit and love she provides all while she’s teaching reading skills on lower levels to students who need that extra support.

Mrs. Yates is bridging the gap in reading to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed in a challenging society. Her mindset is to ensure all of these students can be college and career ready!
