Tutor Charlotte is a community initiative to help connect volunteers with effective tutoring organizations in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
It’s a collaborative effort by Augustine Literacy Project – Charlotte, the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Heart Math Tutoring, Helps Education Fund, and Read Charlotte to meet a community need for tutors, and to provide successful, rewarding experiences for both students and volunteers.
The initiative was born out of a need for more volunteer tutors than ever before, as helping our children recover from the impact of the pandemic on their learning will take the work of our whole community.
