SLI Open Resource Toolkit

You are invited to join the summer movement!

We are so glad you are interested in learning more about the summer literacy infusion model! It will take all of us working together as a community to combat summer learning loss. We hope you will take time to browse through the infusion toolkit and determine how your agency can take steps to integrate literacy into its own summer programming.

Below is a link to the infusion toolkit. All materials were developed by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte based on the POSTLI model operating in Philadelphia. If you do not see a resource that would be valuable, please let us know, as we are committed to helping develop the tools our community needs to keep kids engaged in reading over the summer. We look forward to collaborating this summer!

Who We Are

Read Charlotte is a community initiative that unites educators, community partners, and families to improve children’s reading from birth to third grade. We don’t run programs. We are a capacity-building intermediary that supports local partners to apply evidence-based knowledge about effective reading instruction and interventions, high-quality execution, continuous improvement, and data analysis to improve reading outcomes. 

Read Charlotte is a public-private partnership administered by the Foundation For The Carolinas.
